A woman waits for the return of a man who enlisted at the front when the Spanish Civil War began. He writes her letters from France. She reads them to her children by candlelight. This Penelope does not remain at home weaving by day and unweaving by night. The years pass and he does not return. She has stopped receiving his letters and does not know what may have happened to him. We are in this part of the world where the dead pile up in an inextricable ossuary. This happens in Europe.
